Currently, the ON_DEC model has been implemented into two schools. The ON_DEC partnership at Ditmas IS 62 (Brooklyn) and Sligh Middle School (Tampa) are now proven successful 21st century learning environments.Our implementation practice (define, implement, improve, measure) has made ON_DEC work, and puts Logon for Learning in an exceptional position to really help more schools.
Logon for Learning will continue to administer the program and support the staff at these two Title I schools, their students and families under the ON_DEC program. In the future, we hope to bring this program to more schools.
Sligh Middle School, Tampa Fl. 2003-present
We are working closely with the principal and staff at Sligh to transition virtually all of the program support work to the school from JPMorgan Chase staff in Tampa.We are also in preliminary discussions with the School District for Hillsborough County (SDHC) regarding a pilot which utilizes the ON_DEC PC and extending learning time to the home.
The ON_DEC program started at Ditmas IS 62, located in Brooklyn NY, in 2000. Through the ON_DEC program, teachers, school staff and each student’s home has been equipped with computers as well as PC training.
